I've Been Thinking Today....

Yvaine: "You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasn't true. I know a lot about love. I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves... You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I'm trying to say, Tristan is... I think I love you. Is this love, Tristan? I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no gifts. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine." (Star Dust)

"I feel as if my skin is the only thing keeping me from going everywhere at once." Prince Henry (Ever After)

Inspiration Theme

My New Inspiration Collage is awesome. It's above my bed in my room along with a quick sketch I kiffed (SP?) from Bro. Nolan Parson. It'll help keep me going in the right direction. Danny inspired me to do a collage cause he just did one for a project. LOVE IT.

New Semester*New Goals*New Fears

I'm moved into my apartment in Rexburg, ID. once again. It's good to be back in the place that I love, but hard to leave some important things in Utah. Like a certain boy. That situation brings new joys and hopes but also uncertainties. Now, we combined those feelings with the responsibilities of school and work. The Interior Design major is rigorous and intense. I've doubted my abilities this last month and whether or not I can continue due to stress. Medical problems make it hard for me to function at times. I'm excited to start school again, but I still have those doubts linger in the back of my mind. I pray that the Lord will be with me as I attempt another year at reaching my goal of becoming a designer. The part time job I hold here in Rexburg is also somewhat of a blessing because I work with people I love and who support me.

The new goals I have are to be better at budgeting and menu/meal planning. I made a menu plan for the week which made grocery shopping easy and simple. I loved that since I abhor grocery shopping. Budgeting is still going to be a bit of a struggle. We'll see what happens. Any good ideas are much appreciated.

Goals & Trials

My goals in life are A) to be a wife and mom one day. But, while I'm on that particular journey, I want to help others. Some of you have seen my very first blog post from Jane Chen and her Warm Embrace, which I love. But I love architecture, helping the environment and sustainablilty and Universal Design - providing better environments for all kinds of people. Those are my joys and where I want to take my life. So much so, that I'm planning on a "Things That Inspire Me" themed room for Fall Semester. :) BUT, I have struggles as well. I'm blessed with GAD which is General Anxiety Disorder. GAD has provided me with many medical problems over the last two years of my life. I often wonder if the Major I've chosen will include my downfall since I'm so prone to anxiety. I'm praying and hoping that I'm doing the right things in life. I want to stay headed in the right direction.

Silly Life

It's so funny how life turns out. I never thought I would be in the position I am today. I've recently started dating a great guy I knew in high school. :) I guess one of the many updates. I've had a pretty crazy week. My boy came home from his trip. (I was missing him.) My parents and second brother Jeff flew to Alaska for his graduation present and to fish for a week. My grandparents needed to be driven to Murray for doctor's appts. It was fun to get to spend some time with them and be a help to them. On the way, we got to stop at my Chelsey's house for taco salad and snuggles from baby Lynli. It's been a fun weekend, but amidst all of that, I'm still uneasy about finances for school. Next summer I hope to be more successful with more frequent income.
