Day 31 {Mother}

Interesting that I blogged about things that make me happy in March - because April comes after March. Today, is a special day. Today, 23 years ago, was a preparation day.
Today, I'm blogging about my mother. She went to bed on the night of March 31st, 1987 and didn't think she would wake up and have a baby the next day. She did, in literal terms lay her life on the line...for mine.

Day 30 {BLOGGING}

It's such a relief to get to blog things out. My idea of modern day journaling. I should post a hand writing sample so my great great great great grandchildren will know it's REAALLLYY me :) Thanks to my conversation with Jason Plaisted for helping me realize how much I love it. I'm learning more and more and becoming more legit.
PHEW! Finally caught up....

Day 28 {laughing} & Day 29 {babies - you know teeny people}

I love being able to laugh. I need someone or something to may me laugh. Tonight...as I take a break from finals....my laugh came from this.

Day 27 {standing up for what you believe in}

It thrills me to know and rub shoulders with people like this.
This organization has recently been founded by my friend McKenna.
Check out her blog here.
My ALL TIME favorite quote is by Margaret Nadauld and McKenna has
founded this organization based upon the words of Sis. Nadauld.
What a great way to stand up for what we believe in.

Day 25 {flowers} & 26 {bird cages}

I've recently gained a love of things that hold the past. Each object has it's own story to tell. One interesting genre that I love and makes me happy - is bird cages.

There's something about the complexity and simplicity of a flower to remind you of how delicate and beautiful the world around us is. My favorite combination of flowers right now is wedding flowers. {i know, i know}

Day 23 {service} & 24 {hands}

Service
Dictionary - the action of helping or doing work for someone
-an act of assistance
Jessica's version ? Getting outside my own problems.

Using my hands
Beading, sewing, cross-stitching, you name it...I can probably do it.

Day 22 {Jane Austen}

I identify SOO well with Jane Austen novels. I have my favorites: Gasp! I know, I like Pride & Prejudice but these I like even more.

I have yet to finish reading Sense & Sensibility (which is on the list of things to do over the summer) Maryanne and I would have been great friends.

I also think that Emma and Maryanne would have been great friends because they are so much alike. Knightly is one of my favorite characters. I have yet to read Emma.

I've also been hooked on Elizabeth Gaskell's novels. North and South anyone?! Or Wives & Daughters?
